Walk & Talk Coaching Policy
What is Walk & Talk Coaching?
Walk & Talk Coaching is a 60-minute coaching session held outdoors in a local setting agreed between you and your coach.
The session combines coaching conversation with gentle movement and the natural environment, creating space to pause, reflect and explore what matters to you.
Walk & Talk Coaching is not a fitness session, personal training session or therapeutic walking service. The focus remains on coaching.
Location & Meeting Point
Your meeting location and starting point will be agreed with you before your session.
Sessions will take place in an appropriate local outdoor setting and the route will be agreed based on the circumstances of the day.
For safety and privacy, we may adapt the route or location where necessary.
Walking Pace & Physical Considerations
Walk & Talk Coaching involves gentle walking rather than exercise or physical training.
You should wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and outdoor environment.
Please let me know before or during your session if you experience discomfort, become unwell or feel that you need to slow down, pause or stop.
You are responsible for deciding whether Walk & Talk Coaching is appropriate for you and for seeking medical advice where necessary.
Outdoor Safety
Outdoor environments can involve risks including uneven or slippery ground, traffic, weather conditions, natural hazards and other members of the public.
You participate in Walk & Talk Coaching at your own discretion and remain responsible for your own safety and wellbeing during the session.
We may pause, alter the route or end the session if either of us considers this necessary for safety.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Walk & Talk Coaching takes place in a public or outdoor environment. While reasonable steps will be taken to protect your privacy, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
Other people may pass by or potentially overhear parts of our conversation.
We will be mindful of our surroundings and, where appropriate, may pause or adapt the conversation or move to a more private part of the route.
The confidentiality provisions contained within the Seen Wellbeing Coaching Agreement continue to apply.
Children, Dogs & Additional People
Walk & Talk Coaching is intended to provide a focused coaching space between you and your coach.
Unless agreed in advance, clients should not bring children, additional adults or animals to the session.
If you would like to bring a dog or require another person to accompany you, please discuss this with me before booking so that we can consider whether this is appropriate for the session.
If You Need to Stop
You can ask to pause or end a Walk & Talk session at any point if you feel uncomfortable, unwell or unsafe.
Likewise, I may pause or end a session if I have concerns about safety or believe continuing is not appropriate.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Walk & Talk Coaching is also subject to the Seen Wellbeing Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be charged at the full session rate. A no-show will also be charged in full.
For three-session packages, a late cancellation or no-show will count as one session used from the package.
Weather-related changes made by Seen Wellbeing are not treated as a client cancellation. Where an outdoor session cannot safely go ahead, you will be offered an alternative appointment or, where appropriate, the option to move the session online.
Your Agreement
By booking a Walk & Talk Coaching session, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy and agree to participate within the boundaries and safety considerations outlined above.
